I’m Here

I’ve decided to put out a Bandcamp only single for Men’s Mental Health Month (November) Download and donate here. Both very personal songs, the first I wrote and recorded for my best mate Trevor Smith as he was dying of cancer, called ‘I’m Here’  it’s a counter to my entirely selfish song ‘I’m Not Here’. Trev was…

White Boots

This is a song that was written and recorded for the ‘Found’ album back in 2015 but never included as I could not get it to sound right. I’d completely forgotten about until a couple of months ago, when, testing out some new speakers, I was looking for something to mix and dug this out….

Songs Beneath The Trees

In early 2023 I was commissioned by Gift To Nature to write 5 songs about the trees that grow on Sibden Hill in Shanklin, a small but delightful bit of woodland that sits at the edge of a fairly modern housing estate, and that I’d never previously known about. After several walks there with the dog I…

Paul Armfield’s Friends Society

Greetings! Orphaned by my record company as it drew it’s last breath earlier this year, and twice snubbed by the Arts Council as not worthy of their funding, I find myself abandoned, left to fend alone, a bearded singer/songwriter adrift in a world already drowning in bearded singer/songwriters. Sniff. But this is no sob story,…
