Both lion-hunter and big-game
We sit and poke the fire
The smoke conceals all trace of shame
A frown conceals desire
What monsters here?
Just youthful fears
What passion’s here beneath open skies
Fear will help disguise
This is our dance
A chance encounter some time on
Defences now disarmed
An open window sings the song
The trees sway arm in arm
Such nervous bliss
A fumbled kiss
A jumbled list of pure emotion
Hearts and limbs in motion
This is our dance
And as the dance moves on
The lovers learn their song
The stylus on the vinyl wearing thin
The World revolves around
A mirror ball that does not turn
But seems to lack a little lustre
Each time we spin around the floor
Both lion-hunter and big-game
We prowl around the fire
Who’ll be the first to douse the flame
Who’ll be the first to tire
Such pain we’ll feel
But blisters heal
The band will play again tomorrow
Who’s to lead or follow?
This is our dance
big hugs for a big wonderful man from a smaller guy!
Thanks smaller guy!
